Soutien au Travail Autonome (STA)

• This program aims to provide help by way of supervision, technical advice or financial support as the client elaborates and implements his business plan.
  
• This program is administered jointly with the Centre local d'emploi (CLE).
  
• The aid, under the form of wages, is intended for entrepreneurs who wish to set up a business.
  
• This fund covers two phases according to different terms:
  Before the start-up: for the elaboration of a business plan (maximum 12 weeks);
  Start-up: for the start up of the enterprise (maximum 40 weeks).
  
• The admissible persons must be receiving unemployment insurance or be participants of the unemployment insurance or have been so in the past 36 months or be without work or financial support.
  
• The participant can present a business project in partnership with persons who are not admissible to the measure.
  
• The admissible enterprises are those working in the sectors of activity determined by the intervention priorities of the CLD.
